New Work
Thank you for taking the time to check out some of my latest work.
It has been a lifelong dream to be commissioned by the New York Times and I know that my work is up to par with what I see printed in the Times.
As a LatinX photographer and DP, I would like to see more diversity in the bylines of the Times.
Think of me as a solution to this lack of diversity, especially when the subject being photographed is a LatinX person themselves.
Sincerely,
Catalina Kulczar
Children's Book Illustrator Leo Espinoza
Leo biked to my studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn and we had an afternoon photo shoot throughout my building - The Pencil Factory - and ended up on the rooftop.
Ever since the book Lola was published, I have been a fan of Leo's work. We connected on Instagram and I told him to please reach out to me on his next trip to New York so I could make his portraits.
Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
Daphne Always

I met Daphne on set while filming (I was DP) a short film titled LLL and was smitten with her.

Mariama Diallo

Her short film, Hair Wolf, can be seen on the Criterion Collection platform, and her latest short film, White Devil, is currently making the international film festival rounds. She shot that with Benjamin Dickinson in their home during pandemic.
Diallo's first feature film, Master, had its world premiere at this year's Sundance Film Festival. It is a brilliant film.
